Holidays are generally thought of as celebrations. Fun, family, and food! However, often they can bring a certain amount of stress. Changes in schedules, new people, new places, new food, can all bring about increased necessity to self-regulate and find ways to calm and feel good.
In the next few weeks I will be posting holiday relaxation activities for you and your child this holiday season. These posts have been created to support you and your family in infusing more relaxation, calm and peace into your holiday celebrations. In it you will find ideas for quick relaxation techniques, ideas for relaxing while traveling, and bedtime routines that can anchor relaxation into the day and promote more restful sleep to fuel the next day’s festivities.
Fun only happens when we are feeling good. Fun also happens more often when are hearts are open and we are present and attentive to the present moment, which in turn allows us to be more present to ourselves and souls around us. Help you and your child to deepen your connection and really be present for more of the holiday moments by establishing and infusing relaxation into your holiday schedule.
Wishing you many peaceful moments and beautiful, happy holidays!
